Value(Pixels):
Value(pt):
The conversion between pixels (px) and points (pt) depends on the resolution or DPI (dots per inch) of the device or medium you're working with. Typically, for screens, the conversion is based on standard DPI values.
For most screens, where the standard DPI is 72, you can use the following conversion:
1 pixel ÷72 inch × 72 points (pt) = 1 point (pt)
So, for screens with a DPI of 72, 1 pixel is equal to 1 point.
However, for higher resolution screens like Retina displays, where the DPI is typically 144 or even higher, the conversion ratio changes accordingly. In such cases:
1 pixel ÷144 inch × 72 points (pt) = 0.5 points (pt)
For different DPI values, you adjust the conversion factor accordingly.
For example, if you have a DPI of 96:
1÷96 inch × 72 points (pt) = 0.75 points (pt)
So, the conversion factor becomes 72 divided by the DPI value of your screen.
